Two of my Formula 3 drivers Alexander Sims and Oli Webb drove superbly in the British International F3 Series at Silverstone, England last weekend.
Alexander, who currently competes in the Euro F3 series for ART GRAND PRIX, guested this weekend in the British F3 series. He drove a stunningly race on a rain-soaked Sunday morning to go from 11th on the grid to take the victory at the Chequered Flag. In the afternoon, Alexander’s excellant fitness levels, mental toughness and talent saw him drive from 14th on the grid to finish fourth in the third race of the weekend. It was an awesome end to a weekend that started with Alexander struggling to adjust to the very different feel of the British Series’ Cooper Tyres. In the end, he overtook 20 cars across 2 races. A terrific effort.
British F3 regular, Oli Webb, finished second for the 4th time in 6 races to cement his second place in the Championship. Oli is having an excellant debut season in the International series so far. He has a great focus, excellant attitude and his physical fitness and strength are developing constantly. At 19 years old, he has great potential.
I will keep you posted on Alexander and Oli’s progress throughout the season.
All the best.
Gerry.
