Winter is the key time for Race Drivers to build their Strength and Fitness levels. Testing days vary in the many series that form the chain up to the pinnacle of F1. It is the time for the Physical Trainers to put their knowledge and skills to good use.

For me personally it is the start of a clean sheet. The Drivers have generally good energy levels as they are not travelling to the same extent as they do during the season. Therefore, training takes priority and the focus is on addressing weaknesses and building the framework of conditioning that will prepare the Driver for the upcoming season.

My guys are already building the blocks and will be in top shape by the time their various seasons begin. It is my favourite time of the year for me as a Trainer.
